Responsibility (CR) Magazine, the leading voice for the corporate
responsibility profession, recently named Terry D. McCallister, Chairman

In 2011, Washington Gas (a WGL company), announced two greenhouse gas
(GHG) goals to achieve by 2020 against the company's 2008 baseline.
Washington Gas exceeded both of its goals ahead of schedule as announced
in 2016. This included a 74 percent reduction in absolute GHG
emissions from its fleet and facilities, and a 20 percent reduction in
GHG emissions for every unit of natural gas delivered.
At WGL, sustainability is not only one of five articulated corporate

Scorecard with progress tracked each year as part of its annual goals.
